Red, White & Blue BBQ Brings Community Together for a Great Cause

Our annual La Habra Meals on Wheels fundraiser, *A Red, White & Blue BBQ*, was a heartwarming success—bringing together supporters from La Habra and La Habra Heights for an evening of food, fun, and purpose.

Held on a warm June evening, the event embraced a nostalgic Americana theme that set the perfect tone for summer. Vice President Amy Perez brought her creative vision to life with thoughtful, festive decorations that transformed the venue into a charming celebration of community and care. “Amy’s eye for detail made the evening feel special from the moment guests arrived,” said Executive Director Carmen Miller.

Guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Sweet Lou’s BBQ, known for their tender brisket, BBQ chicken, and classic sides. The evening’s energy soared with live music by The Chris Anderson Group, whose soulful performance kept the crowd engaged and entertained.

More than just a fun night out, the event raised vital funds for our Meals on Wheels program. We proudly serve homebound residents in both La Habra and La Habra Heights, delivering not just meals, but also wellness checks and human connection. For many of our clients, we are their only daily contact.

Funds raised from this event will help us continue to serve those who rely on us most. Just $57.50 feeds a client for an entire week, and every donation makes a difference.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and gave generously. Your support ensures no homebound resident in our community goes hungry—or forgotten.

We would love your support!
