Christmas Gifts

La Habra MOW was able to send out Christmas blankets and gifts to all our clients, thanks to Erica Wiessner and the Assistance League of Fullerton.  We are so fortunate to have the support of the local community.

National Charity League of Whittier Awards Grant to La Habra MOW

We are grateful to have received a grant from NCL which we requested for our subsidized program.  Although our charge for meals is kept as low as possible, there are seniors on a fixed income who are unable to afford the expense. These funds will help us to cover the cost of the subsidized meals.

Calvary La Habra Provides Thanksgiving Meals for MOW Clients

Thank you to James Gomez and Pastor Lance Cook for providing full  turkey dinners, with all the trimmings, to any of our clients who request the meal.  Everyone says it’s the best Thanksgiving meal they’ve eaten. The Assistance League of Fullerton Provides Thanksgiving Gifts

The Assistance League of  Fullerton is now providing gifts to the La Habra Meals on Wheels clients as well as Fullerton MOW. Many of their members are La Habra residents and they have graciously offered to provide gifts to our clients as well. Thank you for your generosity!

The La Habra Host Lions hosted its annual Corn Festival and Parade on October 14.  The event was well attended and enjoyed by the community. The festival was from Friday October 13 through Sunday October 15.

National Charity League of Whittier Delivers Grant to MOW

Meals on Wheels celebrates our volunteers

The annual Volunteer Appreciation luncheon was held at our Hillcrest offices.  We provided a delicious Lascari’s lunch and  our volunteers were able to shop at “Gary’s General Store” through the La Habra Collaborative.  The Collaborative provides many great services to the community.

Meals on Wheels Orange County visits La Habra MOW

Welcome back National Charity League of Whittier!

Every year the NCL helps MOW during the summer months. During the year they have made personalized cards, 4th of July wreaths and Christmas wreaths. We love having the girls and their moms help cover routes as well as helping to pack the meals before going out to our clients.

City of Diamond Bar & Rosemead Chamber of Commerce help La Habra Meals on Wheels

In December the National Charity League made Christmas wreaths for all our clients.

December was a busy month

December was a busy month giving away gifts to our clients and our volunteers!  We were able to give our clients groceries as well as goody bags filled with sugar-free chocolates. We also had a toy drive and our volunteers brought in toys for the city’s Christmas wishes program.
